I have always loved black and white photography from my earlier days in the darkroom. Taking the color away from an image gives it a simplistic or zen quality. I find I get lost in the form. Viewing the image the lights and darks give me an almost meditative state and are very calming to me.
That is why I call it Black and Zen imagery.
I have partnered with a printer in Scotts Valley, California to provide high grade, archival prints.
For black and white imagery my first preference is the Semi Fine Art Paper this is printed on
Canson® Infinity Platine Fibre Rag 310 Gsm
This Semi-Gloss Fine Art Paper Is My Favorite Paper For Making Black & White Prints That Look Like They Came Out Of The Darkroom. 100% Cotton
My second favorite is the Satin or High Gloss Metal Print. Depending on where you are hanging your print determines the finish. High gloss will give you more reflections.
I currently ship within the United States and Canada (contact me directly for international shipping).
